Some of the comments made by our early visitors to The Boathouse
"I would recommend The Boathouse to all who wish to step out of the business of life. Perfect for all who enjoy watching the wildlife, swans, geese, moorhens, bats - an ever changing view in a terrific location near Morpeth, Alnwick. Lots of National Trust properties to visit close by and fly fishing on the lake. Sarah is very welcoming and made us feel at home, the house was filled with gifts to welcome us, the property is a home from home, very comfortable with everything you could wish for. Enjoy, we will be returning."
"Situated on the banks of a lovely lake, the situation of The Boathouse was absolutely perfect. Sitting on the deck in the evening, watching the swans, ducks and geese on the lake was the perfect ending to each day. At the end of our stay we couldn't think of a single thing that was missing. The Boathouse was well appointed, scrupulously clean, and very comfortable. Next time we visit this part of Northumberland we will definitely try to stay here again."
"Paradise! I do not want to leave and I will definitely try to come again. Such a gorgeous spot. The Boathouse has been beautifully restored and acted like a luxury bird hide for us. Amongst other spots we saw 81 Canada Geese, 4 Little Cranes, 4 swans, Osprey, Buzzards, Warblers, bats, an owl and an otter!....
We also enjoyed trips to Newcastle, Cresswell Sands, Morpeth Park, Bolam Lake, a local forest"
